First off, please excuse this blogging platform and/or advertising and related stories at the bottom. This is an experiment and a quick way to create this page to answer your question.

No. When using our grip (or most featureless grips), you can not reach the safety. If you have really long thumbs, you may be able to flip the safety to fire, but your thumb won’t reach to bring it back up to safe.

The least expensive option to use your other hand to actuate the safety. This is ok with our grip, because you will have good control of the rifle with your grip hand. This is not suggested or safe when using other fin style grips.

The best option is to use our ambi safety and actuate it with your trigger finger. The levers can be installed in 6 different positions, allowing you to configure it to what works best for you and the featureless grip you are using. Here is a video showing how we suggest installing it with our featureless grip. Other ambi safeties can not be installed like this. It is very natural and comfortable.

Our ambi safety is highly configurable unlike others. It pairs well with any featureless grip.

Some 3-gun competition shooters in CA have set up their rifles this way and are very happy with the ease of use and speed.

So, in summary, you do not NEED our safety with our grip, BUT it does make your featureless rifle better, safer, and more fun to shoot.

The safety can be installed so you feel it in the way of the trigger when safe.

These screenshots from the video are just one configuration that we prefer. Experiment with lever positions and find what works best for you!

A quick flip up with your trigger finger gets it out of the way for fire.
